Supreme Court Rolls Back Campaign Spending Limits On Corporations : NPR:

"It also strikes down part of the 2002 McCain-Feingold campaign finance law that banned unions and corporations from paying for political ads in the waning days of campaigns.

Even before the court's decision, national political campaigns had been growing increasingly expensive. Watchdog groups worry that by removing limits on expenditures by corporations that are not coordinated with candidates' campaigns, the court will boost the role of special interests in politics."

Supreme Court Rolls Back Campaign Spending Limits On Corporations : NPR

Supreme Court Rolls Back Campaign Spending Limits On Corporations : NPR:

"The decades-old system of rules that govern the financing of the nation's political campaigns was partially upended by a U.S. Supreme Court ruling issued just ahead of the pivotal 2010 midterm congressional election season.

Thursday's landmark decision, approved by a 5-4 margin, could unleash a torrent of corporate and union cash into the political realm and transform how campaigns for president and Congress are fought in the coming years."

Jostled Jaded Mind

Jostled Jaded Mind: "eyes appear cold and steely at first, oblivious to the crowd around him. His mundane glasses schemingly shield the warmth in his eyes. But you know him well, and you'd realize the look is just a facade, an appearance to keep people at bay. You'd find a string of red-veined strings tied across his wrist, reminding you this is his devised method to keep in touch with traditions and, for emotional reasons. His banalities seem so trivial, but a memory to cherish when he makes you a part of it. His laugh, booming with such joy, you'd laugh with him; at him."

Finally I thought of Jason Calacanis‘s recent email list controversy where he shared he was deleting his Facebook account. He explained deactivating was an option as well and isn’t the same as deleting if his peers want to follow suit."

Facebook Friends Sharing Resources. | Social Advertising Network 1 SAN1.org: "f the majority of the readers of this post are able to fully grasp what I have been trying to explain above, then I truly do not have to feel even the least bit remorseful in believing that I could have done things differently.

Although I am keenly aware that this post might sound like some sort of concession speech, I really must state as clearly as possible, that I am nowhere near done. I have not given up, rather I am reasserting the value of tenaciously adhering to one’s dreams.

We Are, What We Are About To Become. The concept is not just a nice sounding slogan for us. When a hungry hungry caterpillar become consumed with some sort of unrelenting food frenzy, consuming everything in its path, the unsuspecting simple living creature has no idea what it is about to become."

Tzadikim Nistarim or Lamed Vav Tzadikim - Shadownessence

Tzadikim Nistarim or Lamed Vav Tzadikim - Shadownessence: "The Lamed-Vav Tzaddikim are also called the Nistarim ('concealed ones'). In our folk tales, they emerge from their self-imposed concealment and, by the mystic powers, which they possess, they succeed in averting the threatened disasters of a people persecuted by the enemies that surround them. They return to their anonymity as soon as their task is accomplished, 'concealing' themselves once again in a Jewish community wherein they are relatively unknown."

Can I get some sugar with these lemons?: "appreciate time to myself—like a couple of days a week is perfect. DH’s job is great for me because he’s usually gone a few days a week. I like being able to come home from work and not talk to anyone. Lately though he’s been holding a line, rather than being on reserve, and he’s been gone for four days straight each week. That is just too much now that I’m 35 weeks pregnant."

HIR's FIRST PRINCIPLES

ARGUMENT A.
Premise 1. The way to do better geopolitics is to have a more accurate representation of the intentions and capabilities of other players in the international system.
Premise 2. The Government of the United States, the most important geopolitical player, has the strongest motivation to do better geopolitics.
Therefore: The Government of the United States works very hard to obtain a better understanding of the intentions and capabilities of other players in the international system."
